Many drivers have chosen Fuelly as their mileage tracking app, and with good cause. It's a sophisticated family (iOS, Android, and web) of feature-rich apps, data-tracking and analytics, and a multi-platform community of curious drivers. I have used it myself for over a decade.

What I really wanted, though, was simple mileage tracking and maintenance reminders. I found Fuelly's features and community forum to be more than I need, the interface to be complex and obtrusive, and basic maintenance reminders to be unreliable. I also don't want my data and location accessible to my mileage tracking app. While this enables some features, like finding nearby gas stations, this doesn't fit my needs.
